Fernando Torres goal against Everton (2-1)
Juan Mata goal against Everton
1 year ago today, the most important match in Chelsea FC’s history took place. Playing a very strong Bayern Munich team at their own stadium, didn’t bode well for the West London club. But against all odds, at 1-0 down in the 88th minute, the man for the big occasion, Didier Drogba stepped up and his headed goal helped send this match into extra time. Ultimately the match would go all the way to penalties, despite Bayern being awarded a penalty in extra time, which Petr Cech saved incredibly. The last spot kick, which would win the Champions League for Chelsea was taken by Didier Drogba. No one could doubt him from the spot, and of course, he slotted the ball past Manuel Neuer and into the net. Chelsea FC were crowned Champions of Europe.
